• Drive-In Racking

Drive-In Racking is uniquely designed to maximize space and productivity with its single point of entry and exit creating a last in, first out (LIFO) method. This system provides high density storage and is ideal for warehouses with a large amount of inventory but few types of product.

The Drive In loading has supporting rails for pallets on both sides of the upright frame with positions at different levels. When loading, the forklift enters the loading lane with the load slightly raised above the rail level to set down in its place.

  • Advantages:

    • High density
    • Cost efficient
    • Large volume storage of similar product
    • Available in roll-formed or structural rack materials
    • Deeper pallet storage
    • LIFO (Last In, First Out)

  • This option is utilized by a variety of industries, including:

    • Imports/Exports
    • Grocery
    • Dairy
    • Food Services
    • Food Manufacturing
    • Bulk Product Handling
    • Chemicals
    • Paint

Things to Consider:

  • All products in the same lane should have the same SKU
  • Requires standardized pallet sizes
  • Challenge to rotate time sensitive products
  • Front upright columns should be reinforced to minimize rack damage from forklifts
