OSHA Forklift CertificationPursuant to section 1910.178(i)(6) of OSHA's Powered Industrial Trucks standard, any worker that operates a lift truck or powered pallet jack needs to be fully trained, tested and certified as a requirement to operate that specific equipment. Moreover, those workers must be recertified every 3 years, or in the event of an accident, job deficiency or equipment change.
Forklift Operator TrainingProcuring and training a good team can be difficult, particularly in the material handling industry which has dealt with a shortage of qualified workers for the last several years. Quality training programs can go a long way toward improving recruitment, retention and morale. Safety on the Move ®, Raymond's industry-leading lift truck operator training program, has helped many companies to protect their employees, trucks and materials since its introduction.
When you coach your lift truck operators in the correct way you can maximize your efficiency and productivity throughout every workday. Operators that are thoroughly acquainted with their equipment are inclined to take more interest in maintaining it properly. Highly skilled equipment operators also have fewer accidents, resulting in less damage to your facilities, equipment, product and racks.
Pedestrian TrainingIn any warehouse environment, all team members should be vigilant at all times, not just the lift truck operators. With that in mind, Raymond has designed a forklift pedestrian training that will keep your employees on their toes. Our Steps To Safety ™: Pedestrian Safety in a Material Handling Environment program allows organizations to teach pedestrians how to take accountability in active forklift operations to create productive and safety conscious environments. In this course, pedestrians learn environmental awareness, visual signaling, and optimal strategies to prevent injuries and safety incidents.
The Steps To Safety program was developed based on requests for assistance from Raymond customers for a corporate training package that dealt specifically with pedestrians. Steps To Safety encourages employees to apply the principles explained in the course to specific business environments and material handling processes.
The program can be used as an add on to Raymond's lift truck operator training course, Safety On The Move or as a separate course. The coursework can be facilitated by a local Raymond expert or by a qualified instructor within your company.
Virtual Reality Forklift SimulatorIn addition to courses, Raymond has developed a highly innovative Virtual Reality Simulator, featuring cutting-edge VR technology to help you cultivate more skilled, productive lift truck operators.
The VR device positions trainees on an actual Raymond forklift in a very convincing virtual warehouse. Using VR devices, trainees can get instant responses while experiencing convincing "real world" challenges.
Forklift Technician TrainingIn addition to operator and pedestrian courses, we offer continuing education for your in-house mechanical experts. Our trainings will keep your team up to speed on the latest tools, technologies, and techniques for maintenance and repair. Customer Technician Courses can be arranged at your facility, your local Raymond Solutions and Support Center or Raymond's corporate headquarters.
