A pallet shuttle is a standalone, automated, high density pallet storage solution that uses self-powered shuttle carriages to transport pallets toward the front or back in a racking lane. Shuttles are powered by electric motors and travel along rails inside a storage channel.

When storing products, a forklift puts pallets in the foremost position in a channel and the shuttle transports the load back to the furthest empty position in the rack until the channel is filled completely.
